The PA6-GF25 filament is a high-performance composite filament from the Fiberon line, made from a PA6 base with a 25% glass fiber load. This filament offers exceptional thermal and mechanical properties while ensuring excellent printability and strong layer adhesion. Known for its strength and durability, it boasts a heat deflection temperature of 191 ºC. PA6-GF25 is ideally suited for applications that require stiffness, durability, and heat resistance, making it an excellent choice for consumer products, electronics, and industrial parts. Its enhanced material properties ensure high performance in demanding environments.
The PA6-GF25 filament offers a combination of enhanced material properties and easy-to-use printing features, such as minimal creep and the ability to perform high-speed printing at rates up to 300 mm/s. This filament does not require a heated chamber, allowing for consistent results at ambient temperatures. It is ideal for 3D printers designed for composite material extrusion, including models like the Raise3D E2CF and the Bambu Lab X1C. Additionally, PA6-GF25 is compatible with multimaterial systems, such as Bambu Lab’s AMS module. For optimal durability and consistent printing performance, using an abrasion-resistant nozzle is recommended.
To boost the thermal and mechanical performance, PA6-GF25 parts should undergo a 100 ºC annealing process for 16 hours. This process requires careful handling to prevent deformation. Guidelines include waiting 24 hours after printing (or drying at 80 ºC for 2 hours) to relieve internal stresses, ensuring uniform oven temperatures, and adding supports (PolyDissolve S1) for parts with overhangs, thin walls, or bridging structures. For optimal results, parts should be placed in the oven in the same orientation as during printing, ideally on the build plate itself, ensuring precise dimensional accuracy and long-term stability.
