3DEA Cleaning Filament 1.75mm

3DEA Cleaning Filament has some unique properties that make it an incredible nozzle cleaner and material transition solution to release stubborn particles and a high viscosity to dislodge and push out debris. It also has a large temperature range (160 – 270+°C) which means it won’t clog up at low temperatures and won’t become too runny or degrade at high temperatures.

Cold Pull

For maintaining the optimal performance of your 3D printer, our 3DEA Cln filament is also engineered for effective nozzle cleaning through the cold pull method. Here’s how to use it:

1. Heat the Nozzle: Heat the nozzle to a temperature range of 240°C to 270°C, ideal for melting the 3DEA Cln filament without causing it to degrade.
2. Insert the Filament: Insert the 3DEA Cln filament into the heated nozzle, pushing gently until you see the filament flow out of the nozzle tip. This indicates the filament has filled the nozzle and is ready to clean.
3. Cool Down: Let the nozzle cool to between 130°C and 150°C. This ensures the filament is firm enough for an effective pull but still flexible enough to not break.
4. Perform the Cold Pull: With the nozzle cooled to the target temperature, firmly and swiftly pull the filament out. The filament should capture and remove any internal debris or residue.
5. Repeat if Necessary: Inspect the tip of the filament for debris. Trim off the contaminated end and repeat the process as needed until the filament pulls out clean, signifying a clean nozzle.
