Making 3d Printing Affordable!

ABS-CF – Carbon Fibre Enhanced ABS Filament

$52.90

Our ABS-CF filament, enhanced with 15% carbon fiber, is designed for printing strong, rigid parts with a superior surface finish and dimensional stability. Packaged on an eco-friendly, vacuum-sealed cardboard reel, it offers improved strength and heat resistance. While it provides good UV stability, for extended outdoor use, consider our ASA CF filament. Ideal for durable, lightweight components, this ABS-CF blend simplifies high-performance 3D printing.

Nozzle: We currently recommend a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm.

Introducing our Carbon ABS filament, a versatile 1kg spool designed for 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals alike. This filament blends the tried-and-tested durability of ABS with the added strength of carbon fibers, creating a material that enhances impact resistance while maintaining ease of use.

Our Carbon ABS filament exhibits good UV stability, making it suitable for projects that are exposed to sunlight. For applications requiring extended exposure to sunlight, we also offer ASA-CF filament, known for its even higher UV resilience, catering to all your project needs.

The addition of carbon fibers reduces the likelihood of warping, a common challenge with pure ABS prints, allowing for more precise and stable outputs. This makes our Carbon ABS filament a solid choice for creating detailed models and functional parts that require a fine balance between strength and accuracy.

Particularly effective in fields that demand durability, such as automotive parts and accessories, this filament is also a favorite among hobbyists aiming to enhance drone performance with materials that offer a superior strength-to-weight ratio.

Print Settings Recommendations:

  • Extruder Temperature: Optimal results are found within a temperature range of 225°C to 255°C, tailored to accommodate the carbon fibers in the mix.
  • Bed Temperature: A bed temperature of 100°C to 110°C is recommended for best adhesion and to minimize warping risks.
  • Print Speed: Adjusting to a moderate or slow print speed can improve the quality of prints by allowing better layer adhesion.
  • Cooling: Minimal cooling is suggested to prevent layer separation and ensure the structural integrity of the print.
  • Adhesion: Applying a bed adhesive enhances the first-layer stick, crucial for a smooth printing experience.

Our Carbon ABS filament is engineered for those seeking to merge the convenience of ABS printing with the reinforced performance of carbon fibers, offering a practical solution for a wide array of 3D printing projects.
